A resident of Southbury, CT, Timothy Leonard is an assistant professor of literacy and linguistics at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, where he is a full-time faculty member. He has taught courses including Academic and Critical Reading, Community Literacy, and Introduction to Critical Thinking. Previously, Timothy Leonard served as an adjunct instructor of education with the Connecticut Literacy Specialist Program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, where he created lessons focused on preparing educator candidates for their careers. He also has experience as an instructional leader and English teacher.
Mr. Leonard attended Sacred Heart University, where he earned a BS in English and education and an MA in teaching. He later earned an EdD in instructional leadership from Western Connecticut State University. In addition to his work as an educator, he serves as a consultant for Woodbury Brewing Company, handling social media development and event planning. He is also the founder of ConnArtists Concerts, which curates live music events.
